I have been involved in a great project with Elena and Tim of Foxtrot Vintage to photograph some amazing pieces of vintage clothing (and when I say vintage I mean proper vintage!) to populate their new online shop. Its great fun and I also get to pick pieces I can use as part of the fashion photography we do at the studio.
Vintage fashion was the passion behind Foxtrot Vintage Shop! The first store was established in 2005. This was on the outskirts of Salisbury, in Wiltshire. The founder, Elena, is a life long vintage fashion devotee. She began the business in memory of her late mother, who was a beauty queen in the 1950s. She was also a former Miss Wales! Her Mothers style and taste in fine couture had a huge influence on Elena. Elena's love of vintage fashion is what Foxtrot is all about!
The shop was an overnight success! A queue of excited vintage fashion fans waited in a line down the street on the first day! Foxtrot Vintage specialises in good old fashioned customer service. Good quality, affordable unique vintage styles suitable for everyone. The shop was very popular! It quickly gained publicity on national television. Also on radio and in vintage fashion publications. Foxtrot now provide vintage fashion for film and theatre companies worldwide. They have an archived collection of rarer pieces for loan to schools, colleges and museums. Elena has become a well respected expert on vintage fashion and style. She advises re-enactment groups, to top stylists on period costume. She frequently appears on radio and TV. She is also involved in many vintage fashion charity events in memory of her Mother who died of cancer.
Foxtrot Vintage has moved to bigger premises twice since it opened. They now offer a vintage fashion commission sale option for customers. Foxtrot also buys, sells and hires costumes, and accessories. Today Foxtrot operates from one of Salisbury's most famous Art Deco shops in Fisherton Street. Here the choice of trends is vast! The second shop is on Marlborough's prestigious High Street. Here, high end designer couture vintage fashion is our specialty.
