One of Marlboroughs many iconic buildings, the cricket pavilion, has been restored thanks to the generosity of the late Henry Rose (C1 1953-57) who made a generous legacy to the College.
The Pavilion was completed in 1874 and designed by Alfred Waterhouse, who went on to design many famous buildings including the Natural History Museum but was in need of restoration.
I was delighted to see the internal decor has been finished using some iconic cricket pictures I have taken on behalf of Marlborough College. This image (shown in situ, with accompanying images from the session) show the young Von Behr almost managing to take my head off with a shot that literally whistled through my hair.
The aerial picture of the pavilion was taken using our aerial camera which allows for views that would be unachievable with normal methods. If you you have a property you would like photographed please get in touch.
