These delightful mugs and jugs were recently photographed to feature in the Daily Telegraph on behalf of Miranda Berrows.
Mirandas art is the result of a much travelled life. Having completed a BA in Fashion at St Martins School of Art in London in the 1980's, she set up home in West Dorset in the late 1990's, and opened her pottery studio in 2003.
Miranda's ceramics are hand coiled in white earthen ware and worked until remarkably fine. She is self taught and learnt most by making wonderful mistakes. Her work is informed both in colour and style by the arts and skills she has observed on her travels. Indian vegetable dyed cloth and weaving, Byzantine decoration and textiles, Persian lustre work…all of which are apparent in the eclectic playful style of her work. Her intention is to delight and bring joy.
